Theme Days
June 4 and 5 are theme days at Grandaskóli.
During theme days, all classes are divided or mixed into smaller groups where 7th grade students act as group leaders. The activities students participate in are based on psychologist Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. His theory originally included seven intelligences, but he later added naturalistic intelligence, bringing the total to eight:
- Linguistic intelligence
- Logical-mathematical intelligence
- Spatial intelligence
- Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence
- Musical intelligence
- Interpersonal intelligence
- Intrapersonal intelligence
- Naturalistic intelligence
