2nd grade at Þingvellir

On Tuesday, May 27, the 2nd grade students visited Þingvellir as part of their work with the book "Komdu og skoðaðu land og þjóð” (Come and Explore the Land and Nation).
At Þingvellir, students took a guided tour of the area and learned about Almannagjá, Lögberg and Peningagjá. The educational experience was lively and fun, and the children even played tug-of-war where one team represented the Eurasian Plate and the other the North American Plate. After exploring the area, the children enjoyed free time to play. Then Guðni, Iceland's former president, made a surprise visit, and the children were delighted to have a chance to chat with him. It was a fantastic day with perfect weather, and the children were enthusiastic and well-behaved throughout.
